APS 5001 refrigerator/freezer compressor overload relay kit is a suitable aftermarket replacement for part #’s 4387913 7020935 4387766 4387836. This kit has an overload rated for 1/4 hp and a 3 pronged relay. It can be used for Whirlpool, GE, Frigidaire, Maytag, Amana, Subzero etc 120V hot wire goes to overload, neutral wire goes to prong 2 on relay. Capacitor if present can connect to prongs 1 and 3 on relay. How to test – This 4TM overload should have electrical continuity between the mounting metal and the prong metal. It should have approximately 0.2 or 0.3 ohms of resistance. Shaking the overload is not a way to test it. It always has a slight internal vibration.
